KSC extends with regular keeper Marius Gersbeck
The original Gersbeck working paper would still have been valid until summer 2023. Now both parties have also created clarity.
“In the last two seasons, Marius Gersbeck has shown that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the 2nd Bundesliga,” Oliver Kreuzer, Managing Director of Sport at the KSC, is quoted: “That we were able to extend with him despite the remaining contract period shows Mutual appreciation between the club and it. We look forward to the next three years. “
For Gersbeck, the season has been running since mid -April, for weeks the Berlin native was plagued with wrist problems before undergoing an operation.
I’m just coming from Cologne from the hand surgeon. The healing process is going very well.

“The first four weeks after the operation with the big rail were not so pleasant,” explains Gersbeck, who could already make the signature without a rail: “I just come from Cologne from the hand surgeon. The healing process is going very well today, so I could already do it today without signing the contract until 2025. “
Gersbeck made 28 league games this season with a Marius average of 3.05. Since his change in July 2019, the former Hertha keeper has played 68 competitive games for the Badeners.
