The interview series with a vampire illustrates its distribution
After many aborted projects, the Roman of Anne Rice entretien with a vampire will finally be the subject of a serial adaptation, produced by AMC . The series is entrusted to the Showrunner Rolin Jones (to whom one already owes the series _ Perry Mason ) and to the executive producer Mark Johnson (_Breaking Bad), and we noted last year that Alan Taylor in will realize the first episodes.
The series is now in production and distribution can be fine: the vampires Lioncourt and Louis de Pointe du Pointe du Lac are interpreted respectively by the comedians Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson (which has been seen in the role of gray worm in _ Game Of Thrones_ ). In their part, the young Claudia must be camped by Bailey Bass, while the production announces the arrival at the cast of Eric Bogosian, in the role of Daniel Molloy – the journalist who collects the confidences of the vampire, presented in the series as A reporter at the end of the career in search of his ultimate subject of interview.
The production delivers the first images of the series, illustrating Lestat and Louis (Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson). According to producer Mark Johnson, the series claims “faithfully the heritage of Anne Rice novels” (his son Christopher Rice is also a producer of the series), but the producer also specifies his intention to “adapt it to the public. today “. He does not specify the meaning of this adaptation, but the photos illustrate the two vampires in New Orleans, obviously in the early twentieth century, where the novel located the meeting of Lestat and Louis at the end of the 18th century. Let us bet that the modification is relatively anecdotal and allows Rolin Jones to situate the series at a time that he particularly appreciates – that he has already staged in Boardwalk Empire or perry mason.
At this time, it is still unclear the series will be broadcast, but it is announced overseas on AMC during this year – while waiting to be probably also distributed elsewhere in the world.
