2K Games announces the acquisition of the Spanish Studio Elite3D
2K Games Announces the acquisition of the company Elite3D, Studio based in Valencia specialized since 2005 in the production of 2D and 3D graphic resources for all kinds of customers in the video sector.
Based in Valencia, Elite3d will neither keep its identity nor its current structure once built by 2k games. The team will restructure in two distinct parts. One will form a new 2K Global Service Department to collaborate on all 2K Games productions. The other will live in the Spanish premises of 31st Union, the studio founded in early 2019 by Michael Contra, the former Director of Operations of Visceral Games and co-founder of SledgeHammer Games.
The 31st Union team based in Valencia will work together with that of San Mateo on the creation of a new AAA license still not announced, but whose development has begun more than 2 years ago. The studio is in the full recruitment phase, both in Spain and California.
